Backlinks question (Market Samurai)

So I have been making good and useful posts on websites that have a page rank of 3 or more. According to Market Samurai when you conduct the anchor text and PR analysis, these sites only have a page rank of 0. So it shows I have no page rank 1 or higher for backlinks. Does page rank affect the actual URL...meaning the actual domain could have a PR of 2 but www.yoursite.com/category/blog have a PR of 0?

ETA: Whoa, sorry about the mess up on my post. My link actually turned into something I didn't mean.

Pagerank is per page so if you are posting on websites that have a PR2, it is likely that the pages you are posting on (do you mean commenting or posting articles?) are PR0.

Each page on each site has a different PR, so just because the main page has a PR2 does not mean the inner pages have that and usually they don't.

Not sure if that answers your question?

YES, that is helpful! Thank you. I started to think that was the reason. Finding high page rank sites is a little harder than I thought to post on then. Thank you! Also, sorry if you saw some weird link on my original post. The example I gave actually turned into something without me meaning to do that!
