Getting Those High PR Forum Backlinks To Stick...

A key part of getting highly ranked with Google and other search engines is backlinks. We want lots of backlinks. They are like votes to your website for that particular keyword. But, don't think that Google looks at all backlinks the same. They aren't going to consider a site in which just anybody can link a million times better than a site that is moderated by the government or something like that.

They like to use something called Page Rank to let others know the importance and the level of a website. To get a high Page Rank can take a very long time. Google has to really like you for you to get to their upper rankings. Now, just think if a site of Page Rank 8 has a link back to your site with the keyword you are targeting as the anchor text? Don't you think this is going to shine in Google's eyes and say this guy needs to be moved up in the rankings?

Well, you would be exactly right. At one time, it was all you needed to get ranked....now, they have upped their game a little and require more, but it is still a very important step to getting top ranked. I wanted to post this to show you the right way to go about getting these backlinks from forums.

FIRST...VERY IMPORTANT

You must do this the right way though. If you are a spammer and just throw these links on the forums, they will close everyones links down and no one gets the boost. I'm sure there are lots that are reading this that will use it poorly and you are just screwing everyone....so hopefully, you die a horribly painful death, but since there isn't really much I can do about it other then twisting the legs off my voodoo doll, I'm going to go ahead and explain to the good guys the right way to go about this.

Okay forums are easy places to get high Page Rank and they are easy places to be able to put your links on the sites. Spammers realized that long ago and now good forums are highly moderated. Most high PR forums won't even allow signature files with links in them anymore. When that's the case, move on to the next one. No reason to post something if we can't have the link.

So, we have to find a way to get around the moderators and get past their eagle eyes. HERE'S HOW:

You need to register for the forums and fill out all the information. You have to be a participant of the forum or at least fake it. Add a picture, put your location information in there, all that good stuff. This way they at least think you are going to be providing content for their forum.

Now, the next part is the most important! Don't fill out your signature file yet. Don't add a link. Keep it blank. Some forums don't even allow a link for 10+ posts. So you might have to get to posting, but don't have a link in there at all. Why? Well, this is a dead give away to the mods that you are just there for a link.

The trick is to provide valuable information. Post something relevant to the subject, but let it sit. Let it slide by the moderators eyes. Then, no less then two weeks later, go back into that forum and add your signature link. There you have it. That is how you get high page rank links from forums, or at least the short version. Pretty simple, right?

You could always provide great content for a month and have your link in there, but for just one high ranked link it's not worth my time.

For me to do all that, it would have to be like a PR7 or PR8. Maybe PR6 for the bare minimum. Other than that, I'm going to keep it moving. There are so many more sites out there.

As 99.9% of forum threads never get above PR0, how is that "high page rank"?

      C,mon,

You never submitted your articles to directorys and never seen a rise in serps even though your posts were on N/A pages ?

Even blogs, your post goes on N/A pages and you never seen a rise ?

Ive seen some pretty big jumps from just submitting to directorys where my articles are on N/A pages.

Travis, you are singing my tune.

I wish WF would ban threads listing hundreds of forums to spam.

The only thing I would add is to keep going longer on each forum.

I NEVER said that they don't help. The original post called the links "high PR links", when they are almost all PR0. Last time I checked PR0 is not high. PR is given per page, NOT per site.

That is a nice tip Travis but you should also consider the time element. If it is like this, we can just use the time in other backlinking methods unless the forum can provide relevant, buying traffic to our website.

Yes, I do believe that getting high PR forums sign that are relevant and do follow gives much traffic and if you are getting link juice then it is more effective in getting more visitors.

Is there any good software for automating forum profiles without looking like a spammer?
Or is outsourcing the way to go for manual work?
