Hi,

I was wondering if search engines are capable of ranking pages based on negative keywords and if there was a way of optimising pages for these terms.

The reason why I ask is that I use the term quite often and I was wondering if it is a popular method?

Any thought would be much obligied.

I'm not quite sure what your asking. As far as I know Google allows the use of negative keywords in your searches. Most searchers are unaware of the advanced search techniques available to them.

Just don't include any terms on your page that would cause your page not to be found when applying negative keywords.

this is a risky thing to do. i never tried putting negative keywords but if you think it in a logical way, even articles with real keywords are having a hard time in pushing their way to the top. this is most likely becuase of the competition with regards to SEO articles. hope it helps you and i gave you an answer with sense.
