PR backlinks. Did I miss something out?

Hi,

I have submitted a PR to a few free sites. It is now 3 weeks and when I check my title in quotes in Google, it returns 2000 plus web pages. I know, this is not all mine, but I expect 60% to have my links from the PR.

My question is, when I check the backlinks on Seoquake, it only shows 20 backlinks. (I am checking the L and LD links)

Am I just been impatient and the numbers will go up? or the backlinks from some sites are not counted.

Thanks for your help on this.

Sometimes it takes months for backlinks to appear, and somtimes not all of them will be shown.

The numbers could go up indeed. Hang in there and wait.

    Yep,

There really isn't a definitive tool out there to tell you exactly how many links you have. Your best bet is to use Google itself to see how many links its indexed for your site as it will use those to determine your ranking.

You can use the Google Webmaster Console to check how many links of yours Google knows about: Google provides backlink tool for site owners

It can take a little while for your links to be found, so unless you are pinging each URL that your press release was sent to, you've got to sit back and be patient.

Thank you for this. I think I need to give a bit more time and work on a few more PR's. I can see the site is gaining some value and it is now on 2nd page of google. So, I will carry on working.

Yes you have to give more time and submit more PR and I am sure you will get the backlink from PR.
