Hi guys, just wondering if anyone get complaints using a trademark name in domain name, to delete the domain name do you have to forward it to their main domain?

They usually ask you to transfer ownership to them, but deleting also usually acceptable. By deleting, I mean the actual domain name, not just any web site you created.

I have worked with a guy named Stephen Pierce who uses them all the time on Amazon autoblogs. He and his students never have a problem with it.

Typically, if a company doesn't like your site taking their copyrighted term, they will send you a cease and desist and make you shut your site down.

The key is to look like you're making hardly any money at all, so that they can't sue you for any damages if you are actually making a killing.

I wouldn't recommend building a major authority site on trademark terms, but small sites you can get away with because these companies will think you aren't making any money, so what would be the point of suing you?

It also depends on what you're using it for. If it's a review site then you can claim that you're providing a useful service (like iPhonereview.com or something) - you are in essence creating a new product; the review. This is the same reason newspapers can review movies without paying royalties.
