Affiliate links in Facebook ads

I have read everywhere that facebook does not allow affiliate links (and mine was denied) so how come I see TONS of affiliate ads on the facebook columns? How are people doing this?

I've tried affiliate marketing for years and have gotten NOTHING. I create my affiliate link, have used Adwords, my website, forum posts, etc, etc, etc. but have never made a dollar.

I realize these things take time but I can't spend all day on the computer posting, writing articles (that never get attention), or waste thousands on PPC ads.

What else can I possibly do?

Do you guys have any tips? How do you become a successful affiliate? I've picked a topic/product close to my heart that is legit and extremely beneficial....would be a great product if I could only figure out how to get people's attention to it.

I don't want to make millions, I would just like to make some extra money to help out the family finances.

I appreciate your help,
Pamela

I'm not a Facebook affiliate guru by any means. But from what I understand about most of the guys making money with affiliate products through Facebook they are directing users from Facebook ads to their affiliates Facebook fan pages where they encourage email opt ins in return for something free.

Then set up the autoresponder series and sell affiliate products that way. Not really a direct answer to your question, but it's an idea for a different way to approach the process anyway. That's the strategy I plan to test with Facebook anyway.

    Good luck figuring it out.

Though I have not been in Facebook marketing (but I'm intending to go into it), I learned from sources that the best way to get your ad accepted (and also to get better clickthroughs and conversions) is to build what they call a "sandwich" page... Which is basically like a simple landing page where people will go to when they click on your ad... And they will be brought to the product site (with your affiliate link) when they click on the links within your "sandwich" page...

That way, the chances is better that your ads will be accepted.

I have not tried it out myself so I cannot attest to whether or not this method works (but just sharing with you what I have learned)

Perhaps you might want to try it out...
