    For search engines or word of mouth the simpler one without the hash is considered better.

    In this case however i would go for dui-attorney.org because you already have a backlink even before you have the site or domain :p

    I am thinking of running a test to check this for myself.

    I know EMD is always best, but I am curious how dui-lawyer.com and also duilawyers.com (with an "s") match up when compared to duilawyer.com for the keywords "dui lawyer".

    Anyone know the answer to this or ran a test to se?

    I haven't had any problem ranking sites with -'s in them. Check out your competition before you go buying a domain as well. No point in buying a domain that is "easy to rank" when your competition is too tough to beat.
