Backlink value question in anchor text

I've have an SEo/backlink related question I'm hoping some of you can shed light on....

Anchortext backlinks: Let's say I'm trying to rank for two keywords...example: 'Dog Training' and 'Dog Collar Training'.

If I get a back link where the anchor text is ''Dog Collar Training' I have aboth keyword sets in that anchor text.

QUESTION: Does this dilute the backlink to each keyword? Or does that matter.

I've really wondered about this.

Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure that you will only get credit for 'Dog Collar Training', and maybe a really small amount of credit for 'Dog Training'. Google is tricky though... so who knows

the effect goes to both the keywords for the "dog training" and "Dog Collar Training". And if you have a good pagerank site then your site can be on the 1st page of google for both the keywords may be on the second page for "dog training".
But if you use the keywords more then two times in your title and description meta tags then the results will be different and more positive.
