New Google Feature - Site Name Added to Results Automatically?

I've just been doing some routine checks on the Google monster and noticed that even though the meta title of a page doesn't have the site name in it.. Google are adding it to the end of the title in the format "- SiteName".

Has anyone else noticed this as a new feature or has it always been there and I haven't noticed?

    Do you mean the <title> tag or do you really mean the "meta title," as in
    <META NAME="Title" CONTENT="insert title here">?
    The latter is obsolete and useless for SEO purposes. I will assume that you mean the regular page title (i.e. <title>). Yes, Google is moving more and more away from honoring your title tag and meta description directly. It is taking more and more liberties, up to replacing your title completely if it feels your own title is irrelevant. This is a current trend.

      I mean the <title> which is known as the meta title tag cos that other one is not really used any longer.

      So what is on the site would be..

      My Big Keyword Stuffed Title Here

      But in Google results it would be..

      My Big Keyword Stuffed Title Here - SiteName
