Hey Guys,

I started a new ad campaign on the Google content network 10 days ago. I have a 90 keyword list and 4 different ads. The first day I got three clicks and a .06 CTR but since then I've basically got no more impressions and only one more click.

I haven't used the content network before and its not nearly as specific on where I should be increasing bids, adding keywords, etc.

Has anyone an into this problem before? Any advice?

Try to group the similar keywords together and create separate ads for each group.
      Try increasing the bid value.

First, you may want to split your keywords into tighter groups. The CN works on the theme of your keywords and they have to be laser specific for the system to determine the proper theme and display on appropriate sites. Adwords also only needs about 30 or so keywords so anything more than that and it could confuse it. I think the documentation says something like it will ignore everything after the first 50. So in other words, you may have too many keywords which makes me think they are not very focused. This is the reason by the way that you should keep your search and CN campaigns separate.

Having said all that, when I do content network campaigns, I choose the sites where to display my ads. I never let Google choose based on keywords.

Next, it seems that in order to gather data as quickly as possible, your first day or two will get more impressions than normal. Once it has enough and has a fair idea how good your ads are, they will be shown in a normal manner. Given your CTR, I think you need to increase your ads' quality and likely why you have few impressions compared to the numbers you have the first day. You are just being outranked by others.

As a side note, only have two active ads at one time. Four is too much. This will give you better quality data to decide which one is the better performer.
