I'm Confused. Does Google allow squeeze pages?

I want to send Adwords traffic to a squeeze page.

I have read countless threads in this forum and would like to send some PPC traffic to a squeeze page to collect leads, but I am not sure what to believe. I have read comments from nay-sayers and those who say that Google accepts them.

Which is correct?

well these are googles terms not mine ? your call / a can of worms on this one so i remain neutral.

X = Data collection sites that imply delivery of free items, etc., in order to collect private information. This would include shady re-bill type sites.

X = Data collection sites that offer free items, etc., in order to collect private information.

Unless necessary for the product or service that you're offering don't request personal information.
If you do request personal information, provide a privacy policy that discloses how the information will be used.
Give options to limit the use of a user's personal information, such as the ability to opt out of receiving newsletters.
Allow users to access your site's content without requiring them to register. Or, provide a preview of what users will get by registering.

    Yeah, they do for sure.

I've run plenty of Adwords campaigns to squeeze pages without a problem.

There was time when they were ok with that but because of their everyday changing policies its better to keep away from squeeze page. They will just send you cute email that your account has been banned.
And believe me they are too big to approach in case your account get banned. In other words there is little chance they will listen to you.

If you are sending people to a minisite/page that ONLY has an opt-in then NO,you will get banned. If it is a page on a larger website or webpage that not only has an optin but also allows the user to access other information then it is fine. They don't want to support opt-in only models.

Google doesn't like squeeze pages. If you are going to send traffic using AdWords to a page that only has an optin form, you are taking a big risk of getting your account banned.

It may work for you for a while, but Google can and will ban you for life at one point or another...

My goal is to use adwords to send them to a squeeze page in a folder on my site like...

      http : // mysite . com / squeeze - page /

      So this would be OK?

Would I have to link out from my squeeze page to my home page or something like that?
