Just purchased old domain, can i get sandboxed?

Hey Warriors, I just purchased a 8 year old domain that has no backlinks to it, can i start building tons of backlinks? or should i build only a couple each day?

My opinion.... of course we know what opinions are good for.

Age of the domain doesn't matter. What matters is the age of any LINKS that point to the domain.

An 8 year old domain with no inbound links is NO MORE VALUABLE THAN A BRAND NEW DOMAIN.

Domain age is only a symptom of the main charactistic.

For example, the only way you can have a link that's 5 years old is if:

The originating site is at least 5 years old
The site it links to is at least 5 years old

Since there's no way to determine link age, we do the next best thing and look at domain age.

But it doesn't give use the real story.....
