It's got to be me i'm sure, "but"

I have a campaign on auto insurance quotes
it's a zip only campaign
I have had over 50 clicks and not one person
looking for an insurance quote has entered a zip, not a one.

something is fishy somewhere.....

(no, there is no affiliate cookie on the above)

even if it is just curiosity it seems 1 person would submit,
even if it was for somewhere else!

what do you think, is it me?

thanx

I think that 7search is a good search engine.

For sure, Yahoo and Google are a lot better but 7search can do good for you too.

    just a quick statement...
i have used 7search before so i'm not necessarily saying anything derogatory against them.

    just something is fishy!

Hello Arnold55, I am glad to hear that you have given 7Search an opportunity. I would like to personally offer myself as point of contact to help with questions regarding your account. If you could send me an email to bstanley at 7search dot com and let me know your username, I will check it out and we can discuss possibilities.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

      Many Thanks

There's nothing fishy, Arnold. You haven't given your marketing campaign nearly enough time to accurately gauge whether or not it's working. There are far too many variables involved to be able to gauge whether or not a marketing campaign is working after only 50 click-thru's - not the least of which is traffic quality, and the overall competency of your marketing methods. I always tell my clients, wait until you've received a minimum of 1000-2000 click-thru's, before you start panicking, and making all kinds of unnecessary adjustments.

Here's why: It's possible you might not get a single desired response in the first 100-200 click-thru's. But in the next 100-200 click-thru's, you could get 10 desired responses. That's marketing. It's like golf - sometimes it will drive you absolutely nuts! The point is, you just never know in which traffic groups those desired responses are going to be hiding in. Again, assuming everything else is in order. That's why it's important not to panic.

Because many times, when you think there's a problem, there isn't one. For now, you just need to be more patient.

For me 7search is like burning money, matched only by my old FindWhat ppc campaigns.

I actually made a ton of money with both 7Search and FindWhat. In fact, at one point, I was spending approximately $700 per week with FindWhat, because my ROI was consistently 2-3 times that amount.

For 7search, just deleting non converting keywords is not enough. Why ? I found good keywords (relevant to the offer) bring the traffic from bad quaility website. So we must have more control for 7search traffics. What is that ?

        1. Block bad website referers / non converting referers
        2. Block bad partner/subid (non converting partner/subid)
        3. Using day party, just running the traffic on specific day/time.
        4. Block bad keywords / non converting keywords.

Unfortunatelly, those features can be opened by request (in my case, I am not sure for other account).

I just create short tutorial on my blog about this. Just take alook.

I personally have got quite a number of sales coming from 7search as well... What's more, you need not pay huge CPC even for the most competitive keywords (unlike Adwords). I've also managed to get some sales from Advertise.com as well...

I target only the search network, and that I only enabled "Phrase" matching for the keywords that I target. Also, I narrowed down the countries in which I target to just US, UK, CA, AU and NZ.

I hope by doing the above will get you better quality traffic (as I managed to get much better quality traffic by doing the above).

      Hope this helps!

          No problem!

Nope... I have not encountered the problem before *fingers crossed*... LOL!

As for the site you have provided, bidding on click-free keywords and category ads is a little bit like bidding for your ads to show on the content network... Sometimes the clicks must not be as good as compared to clicks from the search network...

This is just my experience with 7search... I feel that as long as we target the right keywords, even by just targeting the search network we can still able to get enough traffic to get the sales...

Just my 2-cents on bidding with 7search... Hope this will benefit everyone here...

About the article, yeah, agree with you.
But, the "targetting categories" part is really interesting.

No. It's all from Search Engine. I would try the content advertising option pretty soon.

Remember before this I told above in this thread that I received 800 clicks from 7 Search, but from the stat I just received 90 clicks.

It is only about 10% actually the click go to my LP.

                    I'm not sure what happen.

                    The conversion, still calculating

From experience, I feel it's difficult to promote email/zip submits using PPC as the payouts for these offers are way too low to be profitable... Let's say an email/zip submit offer pays you $1.20 and you CPC is $0.12. That means, you need 1 signup in 12 to breakeven (I'm not even talking about profiting here)

And to get 1 conversion in 12 clicks is very tough in my opinion unless your keywords are really super targeted...

I only use PPC to promote higher commissions CPA campaigns, such as free product trial offers, where the payout is much higher (and easily to profit).

Just my opinion based on my experiences with PPC and CPA marketing...

You have to test out a bunch of different ads all worded differently to see which one will convert the best. After you have this data then you can maximize your campaign. If you are not using a custom LP then you don't have to worry about split testing that. You cant expect to run one ad for a couple days and make tons of money doing it. If that was the case everyone would be getting rich from CPA. There is an art to PPC. Good luck with your campaigns!
