Okay so what is an Xrumer Blast?

I've been reading that people are blasting their sites with like 1million links or some crazy mess.

What exactly is an Xrumer blast and wouldnt' that get you a free trip back to the Google sandbox?

It's blasting links to forums and you don't blast directly to your money site. You blast to your feeder sites.

Nonsense! If that happened then I would pay for an xrummer blast to my competitors sites.

if a tool like that could be used so quickly and effectively, some jerks out there would spend their time targeting their competitors' sites

but the other thing is (and this goes back to the strategy thebarksmeow was talking about) - you don't point "WMD" like xrummer your money sites - you blast your feeder sites. if the traffic comes to your feeder sites, they'll funnel into your money sites.

That's not necessarily true. It's not like you have to load up 100k sites to go through on a Xrumer run:rolleyes:

You could simply load up, say 1-2k good PR domain sites and run Xrumer though those in like 3 minutes.

Or, you could load up a larger number and simply use spintax to alternate URLs so links are spread out over a number of domains.

Like most automation tools, it can be used in different ways.

Again some right old panic and myth being spoken about automated linking.

You will not get your site banned, otherwise you could just blast everyone ahead of you in the SERPs and be No1 all the time! The only way google can combat it is to spot trends and devalue the links. IF used in conjunction with other trends and footprints, yes google will take a look at you, but a blast of profile links every couple of months and then pinging them bit by bit is not going to get your money site banned.

Xrumer, like everything else should be used as part of a "no holds barred" fully-rounded SEO and link building strategy. used in isolation it can of course be dangerous, but then only an idiot would do that wouldn't they?
