    Hi Marhelper, there are perhaps a dozen or more approaches you could take and some will depend on the theme you are using. The hard way to do it is by pasting your Adsense code into the top of each post.

    More advanced themes that are specifically made for sites that use adsense, can automate this for you.

      Just make sure you don't paste the code in EVERY post, if you do it manually. You are limited to 3 ads per page. I have one wp blog in which I do this, but the front page only displays my most current post.

    Do a search for wordpress adsense themes, if you don't mind paying check out Clickbumps themes, I use them myself & they arre great

    I'd like to recommend the "SWIFT" theme. It's what I use on my blogs and it actually has options to paste your Adsense HTML into prescribed boxes. Take a look at my disc golf blog to get an idea of what you can do with it.

    If you don't like coding its a very good option

      The Adsense deluxe plugin is quite old and hasn't been updated in ages but works fine. You use it by placing an html comment (e.g. <!--adsense-->) into each post which will then automatically render the correct adsense code. I've made it quick and easy to use by setting up a button in the post editor using Post Snippets plugin.

      The advantage of this is that you can globally enable and disable adsense, and also it is clever enough to count the instances of its occurrence on a page and will not render more than 3 ads (for example your main page may have a listing of 10 posts all of which contain an adsense block - however only the first 3 will show up).

      Posting your adsense code into each post would seem to be the most inefficient way to go - as well as running the risk of more than 3 adsense blocks per page.

      If you don't want to use something like Adsense Deluxe, you can easily place your adsense code into your theme template, so there's no need for the above

        If you post more than 3 ads but on different pages (not posts) ... is that ok?

          With Adsense Deluxe you can have an infinite amount of ad varieties. For example <!--adsense#1-->, <!--adsense#2--> etc etc where each of these is different, for example the first one may be a medium square while the second might be a leaderboard. You then place this html comment either in a post or a page, doesn't matter and when that page or post is rendered the underlying adsense code will be inserted. However, if you mistakenly put more than 3 of these html comments on a single page or post, it will only render the first 3 so that you should always be OK with the Adsense TOS.

    Have your tried Adsense integrator plugin? It allows you to post the ads in the middle of your post. Just need to configure it once.

    There is one plugin called Adsense Injection which is pretty good. You can also select the placement on your ads based on your needs whether on top of post, end of post or in the middle of the post. You just need to go to settings of the plugin and change it. Also one more important point.. don't forget to include your adsense id in that plugin.

    I just use Whydowork adsense. that way I can easily choose where to put my content. In the plugin settings, you just add your adsense code in the code box (you have several code boxes so you can add different block sizes for different places) and then below that you choose where you want it. To have it in your posts between title and content you put it in the Single Page and choose the code box number and the place should be Top. This will only make the ads appear in the posts itself. If you also want the ad on the homepage of your blog, for example between the title and content of the first post excerpt (which I recommend), you then choose Front Page, choose the code number, the alignment and on which post you want it to show. Very easy, no need to put code somewhere, it does it all automatically after you put in the settings.
