Site went off Google Cache...Need Advise!

Guys,

I have a 3 year old site with decent PR ( toolbar PR2) and good backlinks acquired naturally over a period of time from only topically related sites.

However, last week I made a goof up while migrating the site to wordpress.

By mistake, I kept all the pages noindexed and also kept the <meta content = noarchive> on!
My site went off google cache.
I have just now fixed that problem. Problem now is the site has lost rankings for several keywords. The home page appears in google listings and I see the link 'cached' appearing in SERPS, but when I click on the link, it says 'did not match any documents'

I understand it might be a matter of time before it may come back in cache, but my worry is this.... Will this have permanent impact on my site's authority? Will all the authority I had acquired over time be gone and will I have to build it from scratch??

First of all, don't worry about the cache thing: it has been acting buddy since the Caffeine update, but there is no harm.

The one thing that your mistake may have cause is to reset the link age on your backlinks to zero. It is debatable whether link age matters, but some of us believe that it does. Apart from that, there is no permanent damage and things should resettle eventually, since your links are still in place.

Thanks Philip..that was comforting to hear!
when you say that the link age gets set to zero, does it mean that all the backlinks are going to get spidered again from scratch? and the site will gain back its authority once all the backlinks are re-indexed again?

The google webmaster tools still shows the backlinks....however, the sitelinks got taken off yesterday!
      Any thoughts?

Also, will it help sending a message to google through the site inclusion tool ?

Don't worry a similar thing happened to me when my host's software accidentally banned Google for 2 weeks! We dropped in rank but after they unbanned it {they didn't know it happened till I asked them about it then they fixed it ASAP} it rose back up after a couple weeks!
