I Got an Interesting Message from Google!

Checked my adsense account today and received this message from Google below.

Subject: You’re missing out on extra AdSense earnings

" Our system analysed 2 pages across your domain, "mydomain.com", and found only one Google ad unit per page on over 2 of your pages. The AdSense program currently allows placing up to three ad units on each page, and we strongly suggest you do so.

Since a large portion of your site is not fully monetised, consider adding any of our top performing units (336x280, 300x250, 728x90 or 160x600) to pages currently showing only one ad in the placements our heatmap suggests:

(Cannot show heatmap here)

We've found that by doing this, our publishers are able to place more than one ad unit per page, maintain a good user experience, and achieve significant increases in revenue. "

I find this interesting because the domain they are referring to is an "X factor" type site with only 2 pages of content. Now why didn't they ban me?

I currently have 20 micro-niche sites running adsense on them averaging around 5 pages of content and the funny thing is my adsense earnings increased after mayday update. One of my sites is getting hundreds of visitors per day from longtail keywords alone after mayday. I've been hearing alot of horror stories about people getting banned and micro-sites getting sandboxed, yet Google has been nice to me.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Why do you think they should ban you?

No reason to ban you unless you break the rules.

You cannot judge a site by number of pages or anything quantifying like that.

Nothing wrong with an x-factor type site. Nothing.

I'd be willing to bet that the income generated by these type
of sites makes up a decent chunk of google revenue.

Sites get banned for breaking rules, not being mini.
Granted, being "micro" can sometimes be seen in and of itself
as breaking the rules. But it's not.

Now any "sandbox" is a different animal than adsense TOS.

I also received the same message for one of my website. But I this is just a system generated message no human review involved. I think they may have found out that a large number of publishers are not placing the allowed number of ad units on their pages and may be they want to alert everyone so that we both (Google and publishers) benefit from more number of ad units on our pages.

I think the people who complain about this banning issue either they dont know what they are doing or they are outlaws.

Or its just robotically done and that's an automated email that everyone gets when they don't place up to 3 ad units on their websites or pages.

Because I got the exact same email as the OP a few years ago...

But, definitely no reason for you to get banned. Just place more ad units on the site and make more money like they want you to. lol
