I used the 'pr analysis' on market samurai, and it shows that 4 out of 16 backlinks are from my wf siggy. Is this a bad thing?

p.s. I know I need more backlinks, and I have a ton more, they just haven't been indexed yet, i guess....

The WF links are not a bad thing (not a good one either -- they make no SEO difference), but the lack of great links is, well, not so great

Market Samurai has no independent link data (so far as I know). You may as well go to the source.

This is like saying "I need more coins", as distinct from "I need more money." Coins are not necessarily money: and saying "I have a lot of coins" tells us nothing about how much money you've got.

I've got ~50 backlinks from my sig. The site is still new enough that it's bouncing around like a stripper with a stage full of 100's, but I can't see having a lot of backlinks from one place hurting you. I'm sure it would help to diversify but I wouldn't try to avoid getting backlinks.

It is not a bad thing, but diversification is also important. I wouldn't complain if every page on CNN.com linked to my site with anchor text!
