I recently signed up for hosting and they gave me my server name.
ns1.MYDOMAINNAME.com
ns2.MYDOMAINNAME.com

Does anyone see this as potential problem that people can
just track my sites. Is that possible?

these are public Name Servers and anyone can see it but your site can be tracked any way by using any tool like in Microsoft Windows command prompt just type "nslookup" hit enter then type your site address and hit enter again your site IP will be appeared.
Make sure your hosting provider have some solid security enabled at their end.
