What is wrong with this plan and why are more people not doing it with Adwords?

1. Choose a fairly poplar Clickbank product.

2. Bid on the keyword "(product name) review"

3. Write a landing page that looks fairly "objective" in nature but shows the product in good light with your affiliate link to the product.

Anybody doing this? Any success or failure to report? Is this not the most obvious way of using Adwords? Im planning to do this....any advice?

Thanks a million!

    Hi

I have tried this, but there are two problems with this:
    1. (Product name) review, doesn't get enough searches so Google Adwords doesn't display your ad.
    2. Keywords that are even related to that product cost usually very much. In order to get it lower, you must optimize your ads and landing page.

By this you are going to spend too much on advertising and profit is so small that it is not worth of trying. This is my experience.

I actually used to do it and I did made sales. Problem is my account got suspended because I was stupid enough to make a crucial mistake and direct the traffic to the product landing page and not to my own review site.

In any case, it worked for me and you can try it out.

Yea this works but its for people who have a little extra money to spend, but you should read up on PPC ads and really have a good idea at what your doing before trying this method...after all this is an investment method since your paying for it. Work on your ad creation skills.

Also like the above post. Be careful google doesn't allow affiliate links you need to make a nice landing page/review page for your ads.

Lil extra money to spend? Why do you say that? I would think that you would barely get any traffic since there would be very few "(product name) review" searches being done.

So I was thinking that the only way this can make substantial money is if you do a whole lot of campaigns at the same time.

inaccurate information (as it stands today) you can use affiliate links and you can direct link, what you can not do is use either to link up to non preferred G sites / products or services.

Hmm.....I looked it up...but I still don't get it....everything that affiliates do will always be bridge pages! Is Google basically saying that they don't love affiliates anymore...

Or, I suppose that if you do some stuff to your landing page....like provide useful info.....you wont be called a bridge page anymore.....whats right? And how do you not get called a "bridge page"?

I'm not a huge fan of doing anything PPC. It just seems to use up more money than its worth. I think advertising is important, but google adwords is expensive.

It wouldn't be considered a bridge page as long as you have other content on the site like a menu with other articles etc. Basically other places for the traffic to go besides your affiliate link.

I would imagine this technique would be really good. In fact Jeff Johnson has been doing some teaching on this technique at underground training lab. (not spam, I just love that guy LOL)
