Google Caffeine and SERP, Rank Instantly?

The keyword I have w/out quotes is 650K w/ quotes only 17k. After submitting to directories and other methods of backlinking, will my article jump the serps instantly for a such a low comp keyword now that caffeine indexes instantly now?

Also, are backlink packets dead, weakened, none of the above? I know that you need to link to revelant sites now but will packets still give my articles some SEO juice? Also, I heard of a program that finds blogs in your niche, is anybody aware of the program's name?

Google Caffeine indexes pages faster, but as far as rankings the only pages that benefit from it as far as instant rankings are sites/pages that cover news stories etc

Here's a better explination How will Google Caffeine Affect Your Site(s?)

Ohhh okay, that made sense!... I figured since it was indexed faster, G's spiders would crawl and rank it faster, but then the pages would be constantly changing. Thank you for that answer

Now as far as the backlink packets go, are they still effective or have they been watered down and not really usable?

Says who? Relevancy Schmelevancy. People made way too big a deal over the Caffeine update.

Also, i'm not sure where you read the thing about indexing, but Google does not index pages "instantly", nor are rankings instantaneous. For semi-competitive keywords plus, you should still plan on at least a 3 month ranking journey.

As for packets, are you talking about someone's packets in particular? Profile backlinks still work, and they still work well. No one has the profile link market cornered with their packets. It is a big world out there. Of course, getting in a diversity of backlinks is always a good thing.

Haha, thank you Tom :p, well to paraphrase a bunch of sites I was looking at it said that "Google indexes pages in parallel every second" or something to that extent. Although I did see that Matt Cutts(sp?) YouTube video about long-tail keywords, but I didn't understand what he was saying. But if nothing really major changed, then I'll go ahead and plan that 3 month journey and hammer out backlinks.

Regarding the packets, I was referring to Angela's and Paul's in particular. I guess to be safe I'll put some links on high PR relevant blogs. Am I correct in assuming Market Samurai will locate these blogs for me? Or is there another program that can streamline the search for me?

Thanks again, this is really clearing stuff up for me
