Why are some posts indexed and others not?

Hi all,

I've always wondered this. I have no trouble getting some of my posts ranked whereas others rank for a bit and then disappear completely. I seem to have the same number of backlinks pointed to each, and for the most part the same content/sales pitch has been used on each post. Am I experiencing this because my site is still new (posts are about 1 month old)? Should I continue backlinking everywhere that I can?

Thanks!

Not everything is treated equally. You will never be shown all your links. Some links last, and some are temporary. I have gotten up to 500+ links because of a blog roll...then a few weeks later there gone. Just keep building.

Hey good to know it wasn't anything I was doing wrong. I am a bit disapointed though that not all of my links will get indexed. I have made about 50 posts, each being a very long tailed keyword. If I keep adding similar content for the posts that are not indexed would that help?

      Thanks!

Hey just wait a little while to get them indexed. It takes more time for some than others. Chances are if you got some indexed really fast you happened to publish in the middle of a crawl. They will get indexed just be patient. If if takes too long write some ezine articles and put a link to them there. EZA gets crawled all the time. good luck man!

Google crawls all the time though. If they missed your posts this time around they might still pick them up later. Sometimes it takes a few days.

Ya i'm hoping so. There just doesn't seem to be a reason why some were indexed and some were not. For instance, on a week where I posted 5 times, maybe 2 are indexed. But then another week, perhaps none are, or maybe even 5. Just has me a bit worried and not sure how to get them in there . I recently added Internal linking so maybe that will help.
