Does Google Still Do This?...

Placing 2 results from the same directory right under one another, I mean.

Example:

1.How to Do this
Howtodothis.com

2.Ezine How to do this
ezine.com/howtodothis

3.Ezine How to do this better!
ezine.com/howtodothisbetter

4.i know how to do this
iknowhowto.com

I'm trying to find an example but with no luck. If they don't then my backlinking has been a waste of time, unfortunately. I'm trying to find a search result that shows this but with no luck. I imagine google thinks that type of result is redundant and could be replaced with info from another domain, imho. An expert opinion would be very appreciated

I believe this happens if there is enough relevant information from the 2 pages of the site that is showing results. i.e. home page, and inner page. Then again, I may not be thoroughly understanding your question.

Oh, so it only applies to home page and dinner page? I have an Ezine Article on page 1 for my keyword and not too long ago there was another ezine article right under it. I checked today out of curiosity and saw that my article was by itself again. I was wondering if Google changed something so I know not to try to put an article up form a certain directory if it already ranks on the first page.

Sorry if I wasn't too clear before :p
