Hi warriors,

so i have a music blog and each blog post has a different keyword/keyphrase that i would like to rank for.

I add about 5 blog posts per day and each has a different keyphrase.

So when im doing linkbuilding and social marketing etc what should i do??

I obviously cant try to rank for EVERY keyphrase on the blog.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as im about to purchase some SEO services from the 'warriors for hire' section and have no idea what keywords to work on.

Stop and do not hire any seo services until you know and have done research on your keywords. Second make sure that each page has your keywords in title and meta descriptions (don't know the platform you are using - wordpress?).

You also need to do some competitive ranking research (that tells you how hard it is to break into the top five spots) Fastest way to do this is to use firefox and install the SEO quake plug in. When you do a search it will give you all the pageranks on the page and alot of other information. Only down side is you need to turn off the plugin (disable it) after a few searches because it queries google and gets mistaken for a bot.

Theres a bit of work that needs to be done before you hire a seo service. Too many people rush in with backlinks, seo services etc without doing the research work and they end up wasting a lot of time and dollars getting nowhere. its not sexy work and you can outsource it but it is THE difference between success and failure in SEO.

      thanks for the reply.

this is my point though, my keywords are different for every post, i dont need to research them, they are there staring me in the face

i post dj mixes on my blog, so every single blog post is about a different dj

There isnt one main keyword that consistently brings in visitors, instead its just 1000's of different keywords

People dont come to my blog by searching for say ' latest dj mixes' or something generic

they come to my blog by searches like - dj warrior forum mix 2010

I rank top 5, mostly 1 or 2 for 100's of the most popular phrases but there are a few popular mixes that im 4-5 for and i want to push these up.

but there is no point putting all my money into the current popular dj mix phrases because next month no one will be searching for them anymore

so as i said, what do i do if my keywords are constantly changing??

in that case then you are in a very weak competition area for each post so what i said about on page seo with titles and headers is even more relevant. I'd look to build my link juice for things related to dj and dj mixes. To me theres no sense in doing seo for terms that constantly changes. Google uses a technology called semantic indexing which means it looks for related keywords so say you build authority in general dj mixes and related keywords then your other terms will naturally begin to rank higher with on page seo I suggested

ye its an extremely small niche, there are only a few blogs that post my music daily

great this is exactly what i needed to find out

so basically i should just pick a generic keyword that relates to all posts, like you said, dj mixes, and ill just setup all my seo for a keyword like that and then all the other keywords should start to rise.

thanks very much, now i need to decide what to spend my money on in the warriors for hire section

Keywords ranking is totally depends on quality and relevant backlinks if you getting good quality backlinks then it would be good to get top ranking of keywords and rectify onpage error of website really important.
