Help me choosing niche area for notset.com

my fellow webmasters, I have a very good brand able name notset.com and I really want to utilize this name in the best possible matching niche area. Please give your expert opinion about what kind of blog or website can be setup on this website. What does come into your mind when you first hear or read notset.com???
Secondly, if i want to sell this name, what do you think i can get. It is only 6 character yet two dictionary words domain name? I dont want to sell it, just curious

    Its the next day and still no reply. I was under the impression that i could get a lot of ideas from warrior forum but i am a little disheartened. any body?

      Hi @tahirsfriend... Happy to give you some feedback.

      The first thing I think of when I hear NotSet.com is a website were you buy stuff that is missing from your "set".

      For example, I might be missing a Brett Butler baseball card from my complete set of 1990 Topps baseball card collection. So I would visit your website to complete my set.

      Essentially your website would help people complete their set of different things.

      That sounds like kind of a tough niche to fill, but it's the first thing that comes to mind.

        First thing that comes to my mind is that you would normally be better choosing your niche first and then your domain name. Doing it the other way round is way harder.

        BUT.. I dropped NOTSET into the Adwords keyword tool and it shows 165,000 monthly global searches for that broad match term - Well, it shocked me!!

        Looking at the search results for that expression it shows 76,900,000 results but the top result is a blogspot blog with 15 backlinks and a pr2 and there's very little competition on the front page at all.


        I know that Google's numbers can sometimes be inaccurate but in theory at least..........


        You should be able to create a blog and on page optimise for the keyword NOTSET. Add half a dozen decent backlinks and you should take that number one spot.


        If the search numbers are to be believed you should get loads of traffic from the long tail keywords including NOTSET. Lord knows how you monetise that though!


        You may be able to analyse the long tail keywords and work out what people are actually searching for. My guess would not be to buy anything but then I'd have lost the bet about 165,000 searches for NOTSET a month!!
