Hello everyone,

Could anyone explain me, why do I earn per click so not much, I found keyw with adwords there says Estimated Avg. CPC 20$! Now with this keyw I am on the 1 spot but I see that my Estimated Avg. CPC only cents??

I hope this Q. not against Adsense's rules, and I can ask about it.

Thanks for sharing thoughts!

P.S. Sorry for EN.

Hi @TT - I'm not a super Adsense Guru, but I have dabbled with it in the past and have a few sites with Adsense on it.

One reason you aren't getting paid as much is simply for the fact that just because someone is willing to pay $20 per click on Google search, doesn't mean they're paying that much for clicks from the content network. There are a lot of people that bit quite a bit lower on the content network.

Another factor is the geographic location of where the Adsense click came from. If the click came from say, India, you probably are only gonna get a cent or two no matter what niche you're targeting. If the click comes from the US, you will typically be paid more.

There are a number of other factors Google looks at too. I think they also factor in the historical value of your traffic somehow. There are quite a few people that use Adsense on the WarriorForum so hopefully you'll find some more answers here.

Hi McBrett, thanks for your fast reply.

The main traffic comes from USA.

      That's a good point.

Furthermore, I started thinking maybe that low price per click because of the site complexity (it has only 6 pages) and age, it's alive about 6 moths, and traffic, yes, it's totally fresh.

      Thank you!

  • Google will pay you based on what they determine is the value you bring to visitors. Sites with authority, traffic, and age will be rewarded higher. I know this because I have sites that are more than 10 years old... I do a ton of Adsense on them and they always pay better than my new web properties all other things being equal.

So go ahead and target the $20 phrases because it means that it's an industry willing to pay... but don't expect to make money until you provide real value to visitors.

It could also be that the people clicking on your adsense links didn't find your website from the keyword that pays out this amount.

It depends on your site content quality and a few other factors. They just don't serve this high paying ads on new blogs or average websites. That might be an issue here.

    Just my 2 cents.
