For effective search engine optimization, you need to bear certain things in mind. Do not resort to junk codes like on page styles, too many tables or Javascripts. Your codes should be clutter-free. As in they should be clean. Avoid adding too many junk links at the end of the pages. Footer links are fine. The point is to not blindly add links to avail of SEO benefits. Spend quality time to develop unique content for your website. There is nothing as compelling as unique, engaging content. Stock content is not advisable. Avoid using manufacture descriptions. Have a great day!

    Yes I agree....Content is still the King!! Having unique content for your site would always result in good.

    I agree on the content point; having great content is naturally one of the easiest ways to get backlinks (i.e. since people might link to you naturally).

    What do you mean by "Do not resort to junk codes like on page styles, too many tables or Javascripts." though?! CSS and JS are fine, and tables used to display tabulated data are fine too? Using CSS, JS and tables can't affect 'SEO' unless you do things like hidden text or cloaking etc?
