Adwords tools, ulterior motives?

Hi Guys,
I asked a fellow warrior about this and thought I would expand it here...

You know all these PPC tools that are out there.. EG: Nichebot, keywordspy, all in 1 tools to help organize keyword campaigns etc etc...?

If people are paying for using them, and entering in a plethora of keywords and research they are doing...
won't the PPC tools site owners have a record of the hundreds of members searches etc...?

In other words, all these affiliates are doing research and the site owners are just sitting back and spying on all this research being done to find out for their own info what is hot and what is not?
They then don't even have to do their own research as it's done for them by
the very people paying to use their PPC spy tools.
They then become Your competition!

So, should we all as affiliates be using them?

Or is it a necessary evil.. so to speak.?

Opinions?

I don't own any of those products you mentioned...
    but
PPC tools site owners have a record of the hundreds of members searches etc...?
    makes sense to me...

They then don't even have to do their own research as it's done for them by
the very people paying to use their PPC spy tools.
    They then become Your competition!
Aren't there free keyword tools from the search engines themselves?

    Wordtracker uses overture results
and Google has their own keyword tool that we can use?

I can remember back when my Dad was still alive, a warrior with a clever nickname Eman Resnu (user name) posted to the effect of:

the guru's use pseudonyms, for all we know the fellow warriors we're posting questions to ARE our competition.

I'm competing with local classified ad type portal sites that are optimized for adsence... and they've ranked so high, for so long in the keywords I'm trying to knock them out of top place for...
that Google is Cacheing thier top spot....

no matter what I do, google seems to want them to stay at #1, #2 ???

perhaps Google is making too much money off of the adsence to let me have a crack at it?

I can see how they ranked and I'm remodeling my sites to mimic what they've done... I've got my work cut out for me.

and wish I had an article rewriter right about now

Well, the point I was trying to make is...

      1. The people who own these adwords tools etc..
can just sit back and watch all our research and hard work on
      good keywords and campaigns.

2.Should everyone be using them if this is the case ( as above )

      3. do we just use them anyway knowing that
our campaigns are being spied on.
In other words if we want to speed up the whole process
forget the free tools and use them anyway, knowing we are being spied on.

Hmmm, I think I will develop my own adwords/adsense tool... so I can go and spy and sell info to the people who want it or start my own campaigns with other peoples hard work..lol

        Hi pixguy,

People are already spying on your campaigns regardless of whether you are using someone's tool or not. By advertising, you are advertising the fact that you are advertising.

The folks that provide these tools do not need you to use their tool to see what and where you are advertising.

Here are a couple of good tools for spying on your competitors:

        www.spyfu.com
        www.keywordspy.com

You should be aware that some tools that track your results are sometimes used to gather intelligence about which keywords are making you the most money and then using your best keywords for their own web pages. I heard about a couple of guys in Russia that are doing this through a free tracking service that tracks you AdSense ads.

Tools that research keywords only tell the providers what keywords you are most interested in, not which keywords give you the best returns. It's your actual results that need to be kept confidential.

          Exactly my point.

So, when it comes down to it...

          1. These guys who own the tools Eg: Spyfu or other keyword tools...
can use all OUR research and hard work to thier advantage.

          2. It is a necessary evil

          3. Decide wether to just use the free tools in EG: Google
or use the tools so they can gather all the info and research WE do.
