Site Ranking in different Search Engines

Can a site have the same top ranking in ALL the SE ?
Doing SEO is for one SE at a time...

I always see most sites prefer to have page 1 ranking in Google and whatever rankings in other SE

So, if how long does it take to reach that objective and what are the best ways to achieve this ?

It depends on the niche. Most of the time if you just work for Google other searchengines will follow! Just try your keywords with yahoo search marketing and msn adcenter. If you're satisfied with the traffic of Bing and Yahoo try to optimize your site for those searchengines. if not, go get another Keyword for Google! Finally you must count the traffic you get for your invested time!

It is definitely possible. Most search engines rely heavily on backlinks.

Just continue to work on your content and links and it will have a positive affect on most all search engines at the same time.

  If your site ranks well on Google, there is a very good chance it will rank well on the other search engines.
  
  Each search engine has its own formula.
  
  Most of my sites have some differences in rank but they are within about 5 to 10 spots of each other.
  
  If you follow the basic accepted tips on on page seo, you should see pretty close results.
