Adsense Keyword Tools show higher local search than global..ehh?

This makes no sense to me at all. I was doing some quick keyword research on a niche that I was thinking about going into and I noticed that the local search volume was higher than the global search volume. How is that possible? Everything is set to "Exact" and sorted by global search volume.

    It explains it right in the headings.

    Local is based off last month's traffic; global is a 12month average (if I recall correctly).

    Why not you use other keyword tools?

    Fraggler is 100% correct. It looks like in the example above that August is peak search season for that KW, so it's reporting a higher volume than the average globa/ monthly volume. This is actually quite common for KW that are both geographically targeted and seasonal.
