Google De-Indexed My Page.

Ok, so I'm cruising along with my little page and building links.
Noticed that Yahoo and Google were indexed.
By the way, this is through the Market Samurai Rank Tracking Tool.

Today, Google went from 1 to zero. Now only Yahoo has indexed my page.

What's that all about?

  • Is my humble little page doomed to never see the light of Google Day again?

Google might be doing the soft shoe shuffle or something similar.

If you have been creating a lot of backlinks it can happen that you disappear for a while as the big G re-configures things or whatever it does.

Give it a few days and you may well come back stronger then ever.

Sometimes google reshuffles and you can disappear from their results for a few hours or a few days...then you reappear...often higher up in the rankings.

If you haven't done anything that is blatantly black hat you probably don't have anything to worry about.

This normally happens alot with many of my sites. When I start a massive link building campaign my site normally slips off the spot it was currently in. Then in a few days it makes a huge jump upward. So say my site was originally indexed and on page 3 for a given term. When I run my link building campaign I normally slip to page 8 or 9. But then after a couple of days I find my site on page one and moving up the top ten spot slowly untill I start another link building campaign.

I have not been de indexed although you might want to see when the last time was google crawled your page and re indexed it. They very well might have just recrawled that particular page and are deciding on the sopt to place it. If you can find a keyword you have a top ten ranking for; for the page in question. Plug that keyword into ms and see when it says your page was last crawled.

Also the page itself may not have been de indexed entirely. They may have just moved it off that keyword for the time being. To find out do a google search for site:yoursite.com and see if the page is still indexed.

The only way I know of to see an entire list of your current backlinks is through webmaster tools provided by google. For when I use other various tools like seocentro it tells me that google has only one backlink for a particlar page and 700 on yahoo which again is incorrect. If I use googles webmasters tools however it shows I have over 70k backlinks for the same page that do not show up on any of the other backlink tools.

Another helpful way to find the actual number of backlinks is to do a search for your domain name and if you want to eliminate all pages from your site just add -inurl:yourdomain.com

the search would look like this

    yourdomain.com -inurl:yourdomain.com

This method only shows you the number of links that have been crawled from other pages also it will still leave out a huge number of the backlinks.

Sometimes it happens. We want it NOW! Sometimes we need to be patient.

Based on my observation, Google webmaster tool shows backlinks a little later than Market Samurai. I also check backlinks from my control panel of Hostgator.
I have to say, there are many different backlinks between MS and Cpanel. Actually I am a little confused about backlinks results because using different tools, I always get different data. Say, using Yahoo, Google, MS, Cpanel, etc.
Once a time, when I used MS to check backlinks, I found backlinks increased 1000 overnight, I can't explain this. And after that, the date decreased a lot.
