Six threads on here right now all basically saying "I messed up and got my adsense account banned".

Rather than start anymore threads, this should cover everything:

1. Yes it was your fault.
2. Yes you did something against Googles TOS.
3. No they probably will not reconsider you.
4. Yes there are alternatives.
5. Quite whining and get over it.

Rant over.

They need to have one sticky and then all of these guys can post in that one thread. An adsense banning and whiniing thread.

For many of the bannings the person involved had never even glanced at the TOS. Come on guys, this is a business not a hobby. Treat it as such. Read the TOS and know what you can and can not do with Adsense or any other affiliate program. YOU are the only one responsible for your actions. It is NOT Google's fault that you chose to not read the TOS or follow the rules. May be harsh, but it's the truth. Crying later won't fix it.

Very few people would be here asking for help if Google wasn't so vague in their canned responses when the ban occurs.

They should be telling people what exactly it was that they did wrong, then give them a week to correct it or face a permanent ban. Simply stating that your site poses a "risk" to their advertisers can mean anything. Google never says, in fine detail, what that means.

People have every right to complain here.

The sad truth is that someone such as a competitor can break Google's TOS for you, and t is not worth Google's while to investigate properly.

I heard you can install a script that prevents invalid clicks or something like that. Any ideas?

So what are the things to do & avoid to prevent our accounts from getting banned?

What I know is that your site should have a banner or an affiliate link to not ook like it was made solely for making money on adsense, have a privacy policy page, and don't spam. What else?

      • Sales of weapons or ammunition
      • Sales of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
      • Sales or distribution of coursework or student essays

Personally, having had my Adsense account suspended on suspicion of "invalid clicks" and then had it reinstated on appeal. I just know how flawed Google's fraud click detection protocol is.

I suspect that the clicks were from a Sony PSP forum that I owned, whose unique visitors went up from 200 to 2000 in a day. I do not know the reason but I suspect I may have got something to do with a new Sony PSP game being launched. The same thing had happened before to a person who owned a space exploration site before a space launch.

The bottom line is that THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYBODY.
