Can't get my Site out of - Google Sandbox!

Alot of people will say that google sandbox doesn't exist but it does, I have been ranking with one of my site on the second page of google and thought that I should step it up a notch and started building massive amount of backlnks and guess what now, my site is gone and has been for more then a month I think.

I'm not ranking for the keyword I was at all, my site is no where to be found. It does show up when I type my url and other page of my site still rank for the keyword it was but not my main page. Recently I've made an ultimate change to my front page, have changed everything, template, meta tag etc. and even set new 301 redirect and just today google cached it but still it won't rank and won't show up for the keyword that I'm going after, any ideas and suggeestions? Seeking professional help and willing to pay. Thank you!

It does exist for sure, and building a massive amount of backlinks too quickly is the quickest way to get sandboxed.

Add some quality back links, including lengthy and unique articles at major article directories that are contextually relevant.

The issue is quality not quantity.

Contact Google and submit a request for reconsideration. Tell them what you did, what you think you might have done, that you won't do it again. What have you got to lose? The processs is fair.

I believe the site has not been banned, unless I read it wrong. So a resubmit would not do anything except tell google you have been bad, and they may find other issues, so I would not go that route.

An algorithm rankings drop cannot be fixed by someone at google looking at your site.

First, you should check out the Google Webmaster Guidelines here.

Then you should do a check on all of those backlinks you built, and try to eliminate the spammish ones.

However, it's very rare that backlinking will harm your site. Worst case it will only be simply have no effect. In the old days, you could built a whole boatload of spam backlinks to your competitor's sites and wipe them off the front page, Google has fixed this bug so IMO, your backlinks didn't do it.

You should also install the page spead addon for firefox, (recommende by google) to check the load time of your site and pages. If your site is slower than most sites, it can harm your rankings.

So if that's the case, change your theme around and look for something with less 'scripting' going on. Also try hosting your images on your own domain, rather than using an external image URL to put images on your site.

After you've made the changes you think might have caused your problem, you should do a search for your site, and in the search results click on 'cache' to see what your site looks like to Google last time they cached it.

You should notice whether or not your 'cached' version of your site is the most recent, if it's not you should do some minor backlinking to get Googlebot back to your site to see the updates.

If you still don't see results, you should sign up for a Google Webmaster's account here, and submit your website for reconsideration.

If all else fails still...consult a professional or simply flip your site for a couple bucks and try again!

    Hope that helps ya!!

In the past....Quality links...Beat quantity any day. Even with the changes Google still has quality control...well, sorta kinda.

Anyway I agree try to cut out the spammy links!

      Blessings!

Mate stop worrying.. Yes your site is out of the SERPs yes it was because you built a load of backlinks that triggered googles filters, I had a bodybuilding supplement site that was out the serps for about 10 weeks so dont be thinking your anything special because you`ve been out for a month !! And i had a adsense site out for about 6 weeks a month ago. you`ve just got to ride it out mate if you had 7/8 sites pulling nice cash in you wouldnt be checking this site every 6 hours like i was the first time my bodybuilding site went out the serps ! but now because i have other sites making money i dont worry when this happens like the adsense site last month of course i didnt want it but when it went i knew exactly what to do which was just carry on as normal adding backlinks a new article just treat it like its still there and wait !!
It will be back but 10 weeks like my site isn`t out the ordinary i can tell you now !

    Yea build them yourself.

Web 2.0, articles, press releases etc.

so have you found web 2.0 and press releases to be as good, or better than something like linkvana?

Also when you are building web 2.0 properties with content, do you write one main article and then post that sam article all over the place or do you take a seed article and spin it and then submit that spun material to the different properties?

also if you are going to spin content what % does it need to change to pass duplicate content filters?

thanks in advance for any information

think about it this way first of all. If you go with linkvana, I believe you have to pay for that every month correct? If I'm wrong don't even read what I'm about to say

If it doesn't work for you, and you cancel your account, all of your backlinks are gone. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I'm pretty sure it's a network of sites that display backlinks only for members on an automated level. Meaning if you're no longer a member you're links will be worthless...since they dissappear after.

But again, I could be wrong.

Also, if it does work for you, but then you decide you don't want to pay for it anymore, you'll lose your rankings...

That's why I'm not a big fan of backlink 'subscriptions' per say, I'd rather pay to have perminent links built.

    Livejournal.com, wetpaint.com, blogger.com, wordpress.com, squidoo.com, hubpages.com, buzzle.com, wikihow.com, wikipedia.com, just to name a few...

You are wrong. Links built from link networks are permanent. They don't go back and delete all of the posts you've made with your links when you are no longer a member.

There are link networks out there that will give you more bang for your buck than most traditional backlinks (web 2.0's, articles, etc.

The network I am a member of gives me tons of great in content links that will be there as long as the network is around...whether I'm a member or not.

actually the more I think about it, you are right linkvana is a rippoff.

One question when posting articles on web 2.0 pages can the content be the same or does it need to be changed and if so what % should each article be changed so you don't get hit for duplicate content?
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[2609059].message }}

Well I personally never submit spun content...It might work but I personally don't do it.

The only thing I'll ever do duplicate of, is press releases. Press releases are supposed to be syndicated.

I recommend just completely rewriting your content if you want a quick article to post.

It's just my opinion that Google's smart enough to detect 'spun' content these days. Again, could be wrong.

Make sure to maintain your link velocity. If you just go out and throw thousands of links at your site in a couple days after not doing much to it for a little while, then that does look a little..off, unless the links keep coming in.

Keep building links and use a variety too..Just don't stop the momentum.. I had a site once that disappeared for about 3 weeks only to find that it is now on page 1 for a competitive keyword...Don't let it worry you too much though.serps change all the time and I'm sure your site will come back to atleast where it was before, but in the meantime..try and and maintain velocity and also gather up some higher quality links too.

    Cheers

I have a question a little of the subject but not. I want to setup a presentation for realtors and I am working with a title company that is willing to send out an email to 3500 realtors on their list. I dont just want to send a regular email, I want to record a message that plays when they open the email. I know their are programs for that any suggestions? thank you for any insight.
