When you do a search for local SEO on the forums you get a lot of threads but I am actually wondering how much buzz local SEO has on this forum. I do not see it all around and there are hardly ever questions about it.

Is that because its too easy or are the local SEO marketers just holding onto their secrets?

Just want to see who out there is working the local SEO bandwagon. Hi!

From what I have seen there are not too many marketers out there doing local. Even the ones that are get ranked very high fast and settle in there and not push the SEO. In a local market you might see someone as #1 in google with only 3000 backlinks. Where the competing keyword without being local is around 100,000 backlinks.

I just think that everyone is worried about getting the main keyword and not concentrating on the local keywords (Exact).

I'm not sure where ValleyTech gets his/her info but there have
been dozens of threads on this forum about local offline marketing.
There is no shortage of WSOs on the subject and several "guru"
types have put out high priced product launches addressing the
    subject.

I also don't know why anyone would need 3000 back links to get
the #1 position on Google for a relevant local keyword. It's actually
pretty easy because the vast majority of local business owners
know pretty close to zero about how to rank high in the SERPS.

I agree with Tsnyder. If you use the search feature for offline marketing, you'll find there is a lot of discussion regarding local offline marketing.

If your questions are more SEO specific, there is a thread on the forum to discuss that topic in specific... here's the link: Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum

    Hope that helps,

Yes, there are lots of us here and many posts regarding it!

Local SEO is easier than broad SEO and if you do the offline thing properly, alot more profitble in a short time! ; )

Yeah seriously, I have a few sites ranked up locally in positions 1 & 2 and it's stupid easy to do...Unless you are dealing with a major city, like NYC or others, smaller towns and villages are super easy to get ranked.

This was huge on this forum and pretty much every 2nd wso that came out for a while was offline, which was geared towards local seo.

Check the wso forum now, still heaps of stuff in there for local seo.

It is great to see so much action on a Local SEO Thread but I think I was not specific. I am talking about SEO on the local listings of sites like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Anyone familiar with this?
