SEO aint that bad!

A few weeks back, thinking about being on page 1of Google was scary. the first question being how?

and its simple. Make sure you have good on page optimization, and build them backlinks..

im no pro, but after getting 3 sites on Google in possession 1, 3 and 4 i feel allot more confident now at attacking higher competition.

Its actually funny, im No.3 for a KW on a new site and have taken out 2 pr5 and 5 PR 3 websites, and i have 0 PR..

so dont feel daunted, once you see results, you'll come to a better understanding of how it all works

    I don't mean to rain on your parade by any means, but how new is the site? New sites get a bonus for a while. When I brought up one of my first sites, it quickly got up to #3 for its main keyword. It was up there for about 2 weeks before it suddenly bombed and I spent almost a month working my way back up to that #3 spot. Now I'm working my ass off to get #1 (since #1 and #2 is a single site with one of its pages being ranked with it). Just be aware, you might lose your rank there so work hard to keep that spot. Although if you're in a really low competition niche, you might be safe just being consistent in your SEO. I brought up a site in a ridiculously low competition niche and it's been sitting at #9 for its main keyword since 2 days after I brought it up. It's been well over a month and it hasn't budged (and I haven't built any links or done any other SEO work for it).

    yeah, being number 1 means you should triple or quadruple your effort because your competitors can snatch your place anytime.

    The site is new and i know of the "google dance" but my first site is 2 months old and has stayed in possision 3..

    It must be because the KW is 100% match in the URL... that is what makes my sites "relevant" i guess.

    I spent ages wondering when things are going to happen and how google works.. Forget all that.. Just build links. and you'll be good. (if your niche has low comp (as in page backlinks) i dont think PR matters.. (a site with 1 page BL, with a PR of 5 can be taken out easily)

    From submitting my first link (i have submitted about 70 links, google has found 20 and its been 14 days..

    Your concept is right. For the most part SEO isn't terribly difficult. It's more tedious than anything else which is why many don't follow through. So, good job on continuing your link building.
