Hi! I just went to your website. I'm sure that you put in lots of effort in creating that. I'm going to be very honest here. Not to offend you or not because I hate you.

What you have created on your website is available everywhere on the internet. I personally have 1000 websites that is similar but better than that. If you want to start making money online, here's my recommendation:

    1. Find a topic you are better than other people and have passion in it.

    2. Find someone who has a proven successful system and buy it.

    3. Specialize on one area and outsource everything else. It could be traffic, conversion or anything you think that you will be good at.

I'm glad that you started on the internet. It kinda reminds me when I first started 2 years ago. If you need any help, feel free to PM me. I truly want you to be success. Focus on one niche first!

    Hi Wes,

Congratulations on taking that first step - it's always the hardest.

As Alex said, sites that focus on one topic or niche are usually preferable. But that's not the "be all and end all".

Just a thought, if you want to present general information in a variety of categories (niches), did you consider using a directory script? You can still list your own affiliate links in it.

There's a good free one at PHP Link Directory Script and there are plenty of free and low cost plugins available for it.

As to traffic, there are lots of methods, both free & paid. Some of the free and low cost (but more time consuming) ones are; writing & submitting articles to article directories, doing press releases, submitting to link directories, creating relevant pages on Squidoo, HubPages, etc., even carefully add some info about your site to your MySpace and/or FaceBook pages.

If you have Windows Vista, you could make a simple slide show type movie with MovieMaker and submit it to YouTube and other video sharing sites, and link to your site in the "more info" section.

These are just a few suggestions, do a search of the forum and I'm sure you'll find hundreds more.

    Cheers,

    Michael

    Hi again Wes,

oops, I forgot to mention blogging.

Create a blog and post to it whenever something changes or you add a new link or new section. Submit the RSS feed to aggregator sites. (check out Peter Drew's - peteinoz - posts for some great info about that.)

In terms of creating the blog, you can host it on your own domain. If your host uses cpanel & Fantastico, it's dead easy to set one up.

Otherwise, you could use wordpress.com, or even blogger.com, but wordpress is probably the better of the two. And there are other alternatives around.

    Cheers,

    Michael
