      So basically it's permitted, but a moot point because your score will be so horrible you'd have to spend crazy amounts of money for a hop.

        you can q 10 scores direct linking all day / just be careful and check what your linking to. you may be jumping into bed with the devil disguised as an angel.

          Direct linking in Adwords is dead. Contrary to any information that you may have iframes, redirects and other techniques do not work. Google eventually catches up and if your ad leads to a product page that is not yours they'll give you a final warning. The only way to advertise ClickBank products is through your own review page that must be original and high quality. They won't let you advertise any page, it must be HQ.

            This is Googles official stance on affiliates:

            What is Google's affiliate auction policy?

            We'll only display one ad per search query for advertisers sharing the same top-level domain in the display URL. This means that if you're an affiliate advertiser, your ad may not show for a query because another affiliate or the website that runs the affiliate program also has ads using the same (or a similar) domain in the display URL.
            For example, for the domain 'google.com,' we would determine the following URLs and display URLs to be equivalent:
            However, we'd determine the following display URLs to be distinct, since each has a different top-level domain:
            Also, your site shouldn't mirror (be similar or nearly identical to) your parent company's or another advertiser's site. Google won't show multiple ads for identical or similar landing pages at the same time. This means that if another advertiser's ad leads to a landing page that's similar to yours, and his keyword has a higher Ad Rank, his ad will show instead of yours. Learn more about this policy.

            If you can adhere to this then you will have no problems, Google doesn't care if you are linking to affiliate sites direct or not, but it won't allow you to direct link to an affiliate page for a keyword that the company you are direct linking to is already bidding on.

              Technically you can but you have to follow the rules reguarding the matching of display url and destination url.

              The main reason not to do it is that Google will only allow one ad to resolve to a display url . This means that you have to out bid the site owner and every other affiliate just to get your ad shown.

              This could really drive up you bid cost.

              If you have your own site, you can capture email address and build lists you can market to over and over. They may not buy the first product but may be interested in others over time.

              Having your own site also gives you control over your landing page and you can tweak it for quality score.

                I can't direct link without getting a low QS? But some people are still doing it and surviving for a long time? How are they able to do it?

                They have this code after the domain that they direct link to ?

                hop=xxxxxx&gclid=CMHim9D_z6QxFdD-2Aod-Cb1EQ

                So what are they doing? what type of tracking is that? and does it help the QS?

    The gclid variable is code passed for Analytics purposes, nothing more.
