I am considering MakeBacklinks.com - does anyone have experience with this site.
Is there a better service? Is $35 a fair price for this service? What kind of SEO lift can I expect from buying the 2000 link package?

I've never used them before. Do they say where are they putting your links?

The backlinks from this site are profile links which wont give you much popularity in googles eyes. The page where your link will be, will not be relevant to your website.

Although, this will give you a increase in rankings for a while, the pages where these links are placed will be removed after time as the account will be stale, these backlinks dont last forever.

You should concentrate on quality, over quantity. Your backlinks should be placed on websites that are relevant, or an article that you can optimise for your keywords with backlinks included.

      Hope this helps.

Not sure what your point is. You don't need "relevant" links to rank your site in Google. I'll happy take a good link on a site about hamsters to my IM site any day of the week.

Which is better, a relevant backlink or a non-relevant backlink? Quality over quantity.

Again, who decides relevance? In any event, at least for sites that I have tested it on, sites with "irrelevant" (as a human reviewer would likely decide) actually had equal results as "relevant" links. I also sell links on hundreds of high PR domains to sites i'm sure you would consider "irrelevant." Guess what happens? The Google SERP rankings skyrocket, all from these links from irrelevant sites. A site on computers linking to a site on debt repair. What happens? Google SERP rankings going up. Perhaps you can peruse Terry Kyle's epic 60 day experiment thread on this subforum when you get a chance.

Quality does not mean that the link has to be from an relevant site. Quality can just as easily be a link from what you consider an irrelevant site.

Now, hypothetically.....Let's say that a "relevant" (per who knows what..i'm not sure that means, again) link helps a little more. It is pretty clear that "irrelevant" links help a hell of a lot. Even assuming that "relevant" links help a little more, one has to weight the opportunity cost of it all. Is it worth it to try and only go after "relevant" links, or to just go after quality links, whether or not they are "relevant.". I'm sure you'll find that in almost all circumstances the opportunity cost involved will make it a no-brainer to simply go after all quality links, no matter how you may feel about relevancy. In any event, how many high PR blogs are there dog training to get links from ;-) Your time will be better spent just going after high PR blogs, period.

Then again. I hope people stick to going after "relevant" links. That will make ranking that much easier.

I've used them before, probably a year ago at this point.

If you are looking for profile links, then they provide what they describe (and generally overdeliver in terms of number of links). You will also receive a report if you want to check or boost the links.

They're not all going to 'stick'. From an initial run of 2000 to 2500 backlinks per site, I'd say about 80% were still active after a few months. I did 'boost' those and currently I am showing approximately 22 backlinks in YSE for each site. That, of course, could be a reflection on YSE or my boosting set-up (I was testing the boosting with these sites at the time) rather than the service.
