Warriors, I have an article website and had a few articles on page one and three of google and a few more that was rising quickly in the ranks. Yesterday I got online to check the position they were in and they were no where to be found.

These articles have an SEO score of 90% or more so I don't understand why they would vanish like that. Is this the google slap that everyone talks about?

Has anyone here had a proble like this, if so, what did you do about it?

Sorry to hear that. The Goolgle Slap is usually associated with Adwords, when CPCs skyrocket and Quality Scores plunge overnight.

With regards to your site, this commonly happens - a website rises then disappears. Wait a few days and you'll likely see it comes back.

This is usually referred to as the Google dance.

Hey thanks.. that helps ease my fears of being band by google for whatever reason. I'll give it a few days and I'll post results.

    Thanks again,
    Tim

The Google Slap is triggered using their secret computer formulas which detects certain sites or keywords as being of a problematic nature.

In addition, sites falling under certain market/niche categories are also more readily slapped.

Just take a look at why almost all business-related/make money sites are completely gone from Adwords. Also, look at why weight-loss affiliates are deserted from Adwords...
