Is the new Google Keyword Tool case sensitive?

I just ran some comparison tests between data I got with the old keyword tool on the new Google keyword tool and I noticed something strange. I would copy in a product-related keyword term with the first letters of the words and the product model number capitalized.

Doing a search that way, I would get no results, but if I change all the caps to lower case letters and search, I would get the number of searches for the keyword. I tried it with a few other product-based keywords and got the same results.

This got me thinking that the new Google keyword tool may be case sensitive. Is there anyone who knows more about this?

I get the same results as you. Capitalized letters makes a difference. It's a weird decision for google though...

I noticed that too! The new tool needs to be lower case but I couldn't remember if that was the case for the old one or not.

I checked again yesterday and today, and now the tool seems to work OK with both upper and lowercase input terms and gave me the same results. Maybe they tried something out, or maybe it was just a bug ... who knows?
