Blogger blogs do get indexed (although I haven't noticed many lately). I believe that not too long ago Google devalued most of the web 2.0 free sites in their index.
You're better off starting and building your own hosted blog. You can do what you want without worrying about having the service yanking your site out from under you (happens all the time).

Free blogger sites are really easy to get indexed, but as said you're always risking the host removing your site for some reason.

At the very least I'd pay for your own domain even if you use their hosting - then you can move it somewhere else if required.

Having you own website is way better than owning a blog (if you want to make money out of it that is) otherwise posting random stuff, i would recommend a free blog

Read, and keep reading. Don't ever stop reading. When things start to "click", put your thoughts into action and then see how you either fail or succeed. If you fail, analyze why you failed. If you succeed, build on it and ramp up your process to include more and more sites.

Well if you are really keen to run a forum, not just made up your mind to make money and fool ppl. If you want a run a blog (personal or whatever) i would suggest you go for a domain and paid hosting.
And yes you would still get a decent traffic if you are using free blog service if you are posting unique content.

Welcome to the forum. I would always recommend a domain name and hosting. I use free blogging platforms only to get backlinks and then if something happens to them no big deal. See if you can purchase your own name dot com and brand yourself - do your blog using that name- if you are truly serious about making it onlins.

definatly go with the paid. If you're wanting to go the seo/adsense route search for warrior 'zeus66' check out all of his posts and if you can afford it I'd recommend you take his adsense coaching course the next time he runs it.

    The bottom line is this:

If you are serious about making money online, you need your own hosting and your own domain/domains.

The cost is really small and there is no reason not to get your own hosting account.

First thing is, you need to do keyword research first. do your keyword research around things you are passionate about, that you know can write a lot about.

I have always used free sites like Hubpages and Squidoo for writing. Only recently, I decided to get a domain of my own. Let's see how that goes. Owning a website is definitely better for business.

Most of the warriors around here seem to recommend Hostgator. Personally, I use JustHost and have found them to be excellent - free domain on sign-up, unlimited add-on domains, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, unlimited forums, unlimited wordpress blogs, lots of other useful tools and a great uptime record. I'll leave others to tell you why Hostgator might be better.

You should use free hosting blog rather than paid hosting blog.

When you buy a domain name and pay for some cheap hosting you're buying Internet Real Estate. You have something that is yours. When you use the free services, you're renting. You have no control over your intellectual property.

    Buy vs Rent
