I just distributed a press release for a client a couple of hours ago. I searched for some of the press releases's keywords on Google and found the PR was already on several sites - BigNews.biz distributes news and press release, Free Press Release Distribution Service - PR Log.Org, PressReleasePoint | Free Press Release Distribution Website | Submit Press Releases, www-free-press-release.com.

So if you want to get your press release online super fast, I would definitely recommend those sites. I distribute to 25 sites, but some take up to a week to put the PR online.

Did you do anything special keyword wise with the title of your PR? I know if you use a generic term that gets a lot of searches you can get picked up pretty quick with syndications.

I did put one of the keywords in the headline but I didn't use a generic term - interesting idea, I'd love to hear more. I'm always looking for new SEO press release tricks.

I always use PRLog and have found my press releases are indexed within the hour.
That is without doing anything clever, just writing then publishing.

That is using a free account, and most get straight to the top of the normal search results (average one week retention for the top 10), but they don't appear in Google news. I can't see this matters really though, as very rarely does anyone go shopping on Google news LOL!

    Cheers,
