Adsense How To Course/Training

I have a personal finance blog. My traffic is anywhere between 50-100 visitors , 100-200 page views per day. I realize I need to increase my traffic to 3-500 uniques per day to really make a dent with Adsense. I believe I am well on my way.

That said, my CTR is .55%. Brutal, I know. Other people in my niche Personal Finance are around 3-5% from what I hear. That tells me I need to make some changes. By the way, what is a "good" CTR? I know it varies but what should I shoot for?

So, with that said, does anyone have any good sources to become better at Adsense...audio/video E courses? I have AdSense Code and I think it's a great resource. I'd just prefer something along the lines of step by step video courses vs. a book. I am willing and able to pay for value here but really don't know who or what out there is good and current.

I'd appreciate and help from fellow Warriors.

Thanks, Mike

    I've got ya fellow Floridian.

5 to 10% is the CTR I shoot for on all of my sites. 5 to 10% of your unique visitors, not page views. I have several sites that get 5 to 6 pageviews per unique visitor and my CTR according to impressions is only like 1.5% but on Uniques is about 6%. Anywhere in there is a good target to shoot for.

Some niches will be less, others more.

And about a course. I'd recommend just figuring it out on your own. It seems like you've already got the fundamentals down which is really all you need. Check out the FREE WSO's by Fraggler. Also check out his homepage here: Plyplema Design

He knows his stuff and he's helped me out tremendously. He also has a $5 plugin called Adsense split tester which is great for figuring out which ad positions/colors/fonts will do best for your site.

If you need help with ad placements, send me a PM with your URL and I'll give you some recommendations on that.

It sounds like you know what you're doing for the most part, and now it just comes down to split testing and driving more traffic. Keep up what you're doing and experiment with ad placement, colors, and fonts.

    Hi Mike,
A good strategy is to make your adsense ads look like a normal text link...Of course you have to abide by the guidelines but from the design you can make them simple...Also it depends on the location of the ads of course.

To get more traffic you need to add more content and also optimize your webpages more, which should translate to more sales for you in the adsense program...

I have an SEO training course if interested (see below signature), which shows you step by step how to boost your rankings and therefore your overall traffic. However, I am not talking about adsense there.

    Good Luck
