Small Niche Finders w/ Low Competition / High Amt. of Searches

I've been running some tests on Google's external Keyword Tool to try and find niches - seems to me that Google is way off.

Just wondering if tools like "Micro Niche Finder" or something else shows better niches than Google's tool? If so, where would these tools get the data?

    I use Micro Niche Finder and Google Keyword tool plus a couple of others to uncover niches.

    MNF is just level one for me i.e. I use it to throw up potential ideas.
