I seldom advertise using Adwords.

Recently I have used Adwords to promote one of the top Clickbank affilate product (Gravity almost 200). I am using direct linking.

Unfortunately the ads were disapproved by Google. I contacted them and received their response two days later:

I reviewed your site:xxxxxx.com and found that this site is violating our Landing Page and Site Policy for Unacceptable Business Practice-Inaccurate/Misleading Claims. In response to multiple complaints received from users and publishers about this category of ads, it is Google's policy to not accept ads that make inaccurate or misleading claims regarding the product being promoted.

Therefore, even if you make any changes to this site, it's landing page quality score is not going to improve. In the future, I suggest you to advertise high quality websites which are in compliance with our policies.

However I make a check and notice there is currently one ads running on Google still using direct linkage.

I am wondering if I create my own landing page - would my ads will be disapprove by Google?

Any expert care to share their experience?

Direct linking is not more prone to poor landing page quality. Not following the Adwords guidelines leads to poor landing page quality.

If I hype on my site "Get QS of 10, pay one cent a click on Adwords no matter the niche", I might get poor quality for being inaccurate and misleading. But saying instead "increased QS and lower costs" would be OK. In the first, I'm guaranteeing a result which I cannot guarantee. I've over-hyping. Just like weight loss products saying "lose 30 pounds this month, eat like you always do, no exercise".

Doesn't matter if it's the affiliate site or your own. If you use your own, it can't be a bridge page to the affiliate's offer. That is, all your "get it now" links better take me to an order page.

    In my opinion yes.

Google takes into account 'load times' for the links provided.

If a page takes a long time to load, it will have a lower quality score. Just like you can check your site performance on 'google webmasters'.

When you use a redirect of any sort, the wait time until the final page has loaded is usually quite longer than simply direct linking to a site, without a redirect.

Funny this should appear here, we have just had this same issue with one of our clients who we have just taken over - exactly the same response from Google. Basically the problem is that the landing page that you are linking to - the product page - contains claims that Google considers to be BS. We are advertising on behalf of a client that sells herbal erectile dysfunction pills but their landing page claims it it gives erections for 72 hrs within 20 mins and all other kinds of crazy statements! You need to ensure that the page has a disclaimer and if it does and Google are still rejecting you then you will need to create your own landing page with less outrageous claims on it to use for your PPC ads.

When we look online we see all sorts of other advertisers making these kinds of crazy claims so we have to assume that we are being rejected because it's a new campaign and is therefore being put through the review process at Google before it is accepted. The other companies we see making these same kinds of claims have clearly been around for a long time and therefore haven't had the need for a manual review by Google since their T&C's have changed.

From your experiences if you create a landing page with a outgoing link to the vendor page, will Google check the vendor page where outrageous claims or over-hyping claims are make?

If Google will check the outgoing link, then creating your own landing page will serve no purpose - your PPC ads will still be disapprove.

I told you not to do that. That is a bridge page and is not allowed. Don't link to the vendor's sales page, link to the order page.

Whether a site is up before a change of T&C or not doesn't matter. I think Google does a manual review of all pages eventually. Some keywords, ads and words on the page might automatically trigger an immediate review process when you create an ad. But if it doesn't, you'll be reviewed in the future. The system also checks your landing pages periodically, about every 10 days or so, for quality re-evaluation. So don't think that changing your page will clear you.

72 hours?!? Crazy statement but even if true, who the heck wants that?

Agreed. When google do its job a long term process will apply any possible evaluation will do in every site manually and checking the loading of the landing page. I'm new to this topic this is what I've observed.

fyi...every fitness vendor I know from mike geary to craig B to Tm venuto all got same canned response...so looks like to me it is a clickbank issue as well...clickbank is trying to work with them to no avail so far....So I don't buy the over hype misleading BS as these top vendors have changed their sites in numerous ways all to no avail...they all got slapped...their answer is vague and misleading.

The days of direct linking are as good as over. If you do get away with it, it's only a matter of time before Google catches up with you.

Build a website with good content in a niche you have an interest in.
