How Do I Rank New Micro Niche Sites Faster?

It's been taking me much too long for my own patience to get my EMD ranked for its kw (med. to low competition). 2-4 months is way too long for me to hit #1-4. I want to get this down to 2-3 weeks if possible.

I'm doing about 10% article directories and web2.0 sites, bookmarking + 90% forum profile links, maybe averaging 50-70 links per day. Maybe I could be doing something better?

How fast are you guys getting your niche/micro niche sites ranked #1-4? And what are you doing to get it there?

thanks!

2-3 weeks is not a reasonable time frame. 2-3 months is the time frame, to see "true" seo rankings that stick and not fade. If you want instant traffic then use PPC, but that can be costly if not done right.

Sometimes I get them ranked within one month, but most time I have to wait 2 - 3 months. It depends on the competition.

In my experience it goes a lot quicker, if I can get a backlink from a site which ranks in the Top20 already for the particular keyword. You can use that if you try to rank your article in ezine or somewhere with that key. Even if they have a better position first, after a short time, you will be in front of them, due to further backlinking, domain name and getting the link from them.

IBP works great for me as well. Some on this forum bash it, but it is how I learned SEO.

2-3 week sseems to be a far from realistic dead line. What more you can do is to make set up a strong interlinking within your webiste and add a blog section. Then publish at least 5-7 blogs per day, with good interlinking to the webiste and the posts itself.

This would definitely give you some boost in your seo efforts.

Is there any advantage to having the blog vs. just cranking out more site pages? I'm assuming you would have to build backlinks to those blog posts as well to see any SEO benefit throughout the site?

SEO is a marathon and not a sprint. Also, if you build too many links too fast (especially at the beginning) will likely raise some red flage with the SE's. Build links slowly and steadily, diversify your links and make them look natural. That way, you can build several micro niche sites in parallel and after 3-5 months you will have several high ranking sites.

And yes, if you need traffic today or tomorrow you have to buy it - there is no magic bullet.

I would just forget the blog and crank out more site pages. The purpose of blogs is to give the impression you have a lot to say about the subject ~

But if you are building a micro niche site, how much can you talk about the "micro niche" before it starts sounding contrived?

I totally agree . In general you need just patience to get visitors or pockets full of money for PPC, media buying etc. Than you can monetize your sites immediately or loose money if you do it wrong.

It really depends on your competition, but generally build a couple of links the first week and focus on some do follow article submissions (3-4) and a couple web 2.0 social bookmarks. Let it hang for a week and make sure you get indexed. Week two take your article submissions are start building backlinks to them. At this time start going nuts building links to your main website with a variety of anchor text by commenting, forums, profiles or joining a blog network. http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...-free-you.html

Your speed is not bad, but not very fast either. You can work a lot more faster than this!

If i'm on a roll, i can hand create 10 new targeted sites per week (50-100 pages each). I then kick off a varied slow start up backlinking schema. Web 2.0's, microtwit sites, articles, and blog comments.

And then I let those babies bake in the oven for a good 2 months.

Don't overanalyze your process, just put it into play and monitor over a period of time. By month 2, I really get some backlinking underway, but that's a whole different story
