The question is in the title...

A sub question to that though - who really looks at Press Releases? Journalists???

Prweb.com is the best in my opinion. I got a ton of exposure through them.

Journalists and other websites look at them. Even smaller websites get their content from press releases.

What do you think about the pricing at PRWeb? Is it worth $80 to $200 per press release when you compare the results with spending that on Adwords or hiring an outsourcer to write and help with article marketing?

I always choose the $200 release. Best distribution, best return on investment for anchor text, excellent tracking / statistics, and have always got a good bang for my buck as far as distribution is concerned.
