Long term adsense revenue

Hi, Id like some advice regarding websites which generate good revenue via adsense. There's a website on flippa, get-rid-of-pests.com selling for $15,000. They say the net profit per month is $881 generated through Adsense and Amazon Affiliate commisions.

My questions;

1. Are such sites suitable for newbies to run who have no experience running a website?

2. If your not knowledgeable on the subject which the website is about, is it easy to buy relevent content such as articles, etc.. to update the site.

3. How can you tell if a site has real long term value so it won't just be a case of the Adsense revenue is good for the first 6 months or so but then drops?

I am looking for a site which can generate at least $800 per month in Adsense revenue or a combination of Amazon affliate commisions and Adsense. Would i have to spend at least around $15,000 for a site to generate this much per month?

I don't want to buy a site then regret it months down the line so your advice on this would be appreciated.

I realize Yahoo Explorer won't show all backlinks, but it's a darn good indicator for a sites backlink count. They have 10 backlinks on the Index page (lol)!

If it was me & I really liked that site, I would grab the theme, & hire a writer for less than $10 per page.

They have 46 pages in Google SERPs, that's $460 in content.

      Do the math...
Wrong, you arent using Yahoo explorer right. They have almost 2 k links.

Anyways, the most important thin is that your site is seo optimized, so you get a steady flow of visitors.

Even so, 2000 links isn't difficult to get. Now if they're all from completely different sites, then it's more impressive (sorry I'm too lazy to go look).

    1. As a newbie learn from the basics and adapt the experience.
    2. Knowledge can be learned as long as you're interested as new SEO we must explore.
    3. Maintenance is the key to your long term adsense.
hope it helps. Its just for me.

Yesterday i bought one of Eddyweb's blog sites from the Warrior Forum.

Im not sure how much revenue that will bring in but i presume it will only be a little, this is why im looking for something much more profitable.

Some sites i see have auto plugin packages which update the site with news and articles from different sources. Is this a good way of maintaining a site well without needing to update it with content yourself so you can still get a steady consistant amount of visitors long term?

    Always do your research first.

This site has a statistical valuation of about $6K, so $15K is way over value, regardless of whether the earnings are genuine.

    The valuation is here

Sorry, but there's no way it's making that kind of money. Based on what I see it ranking for, I'd estimate maybe $50-100 a month at most unless I'm missing something big somewhere.

Another thing to consider is that $15K can buy a lot of domains, a lot of hosting, a lot of link building and a lot of content. Allowing for a generous $250 initial investment per site, you could develop 60 such sites that would make in the $50 to $100 a month range ($3000 - $6000 a month, maybe more). If you could sell them to the naive on Flippa for $15K a pop, that would be a whopping $900K+ for a $15k investment.
