what's the right way to write "tags" ?

it's a bit confusing me how to write the meta tags the right way.

for example:

If we want to rank on "make money online" and "learn how to make money", what should we enter?

per phrase like: make money online, learn how to make money

or per words: learn, how to, make, money, online

which is right?

    Assuming you are talking about the keywords meta tag then it would be:

    make money online, learn how to make money

    But I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it since all major search engines ignore the keywords meta tag. The title tag and description meta tags are the ones that need your attention.

    I would suggest that you should use keyword phrase "make money online" is the right way to write tags if the make money online rank up the "learn how to make money" will also boost its rank, but you should also focus on the title and the description of the tags.

    It depends on what search engine you want to rank in. If you want Google, then you need to use your keywords in your title and within your content, then build links back to the content using your keywords as anchor text. Your your keyword, I would probably go with "Learn How To Make Money Online" and your title tag then break it down into your separate keywords within your content. You can fill in your META keywords with "learn how to make money, make money online" but Google will ignore that tag. However other search engines like Yahoo! do use that tag so it is important if you want to rank there.

    You can go to ladyzona.com which in very top Google in beauty field. Look at its articles, you will see how to create meta tags. I guess that they are created through special tools.
