CEASE AND DESIST on Adsense Site - Advice

I registered a name with the brand in the domain name and finally got top 3 ranking. A few weeks later, I received a ceast and desist letter (earlier this morning).

What should I do? Any advice?

Ignore it, or just transfer the domain over.

You only have to hand them over if they file a DMCA over at your registrar.

This is one of the reasons why I launch 100+ sites each month, that way one letter from one lawyer won't have any impact on my income.

What is the realistic worst case scenario if I ignore?
Can I get sued, or will I just lose the domain name
      at some point with DMCA?

Not true. Nobody can just take a domain with a filing. If you fight it, it
must be litigated via a panel, judge, hearing, etc.

Your host, if they get the same letter, may shut you down. But the
domain is yours unless a judgment forces you.

        Lot's of misinformation on this.

They send a letter hoping you will get scared and not fight it.

If it was as simple as some people say, you would not get letters. You
would just wake up and find the domain gone. Not gonna happen.

You do have to show you have a legit reason to have such a domain.
But they need to show some proof as well.

What would I do? Keep it as long as I can...

But with adsense you are playing with fire. Adsense does not
like even perceived copyright infringement. Google, however, is
one company that loves the freeness of the internet, and does not
mind, in most cases, using google terms in domains.

paulgl summed it up perfectly. I have had some sleepless nights with regards to my adsense account over this one. Now prefer to get product names in as pages and use a generic domain.

    Best regards
